wiederentdecktes

ein töpferworkshop, einen tag lang.

ich hatte ganz vergessen, wie gut das tut … meditation, bei der zugleich noch etwas praktisches entsteht. und beim workshop dazu sogar noch unterhaltung. HACH!

was für ein schöner tag!

bitte MEHR davon!!!

sonnenuntergangsstimmung

love

it takes a minute to find a special person.
an hour to appreciate them.
a day to love them.
and an entire life to forget them.

i wish you enough

“I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.

I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear
much bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.”

sunrise

despite of my preference for new beginnings of all sorts i very seldom watch the sun rising. last wednesday i did. from the ferry bringing us back home i saw the sun rising behind tenerife … what an amazing beautiful play of colours! it did not last long, maybe 10 minutes, and i enjoyed every second of it.

caves, caravans and an amazing barranco

3 days in la palma. the most beautiful of the 3 canarian islands i saw until now. much greener, much more natural than tenerife! la isla bonita, la isla verde.

one night in a cave. visiting friends who live there. so great, they own a mountain with a cave – in older times, not so long ago, many people in la palma lived in caves and so did h.’s mother and his grandparents, and now he does with his family. it’s a quite comfortable cave loft now, with a wooden floor, electricity, internet and cold water from the taps. and with an amazing view from a height of about 700m!

one and a half nights in a tree house. situated on a camping site with lots of caravans – originally i wanted to stay in one of these, to get a feeling of living in a caravan. but the tree house was an interesting alternative. reachable with a ladder or, alternatively, by balancing on a wall next to a deep water tank (which did not look very inviting). the door of the tree house could not be closed from the inside (i. e. it could but could not be opened from the inside). the shower is open air, under a gigantic fig tree. i’ll keep this camping site in mind as a possibility to stay there when coming back to the canaries in october.

most amazing place we found was the barranco de angustias … with flowing water at the bottom! first time i saw something like this for more than 2 years now. on tenerife, there is no water at the inland. in la palma there are also cascades!

we left la palma with the ferry at 4am and completed this amazing short trip with the gorgeous view of the sun rising behind tenerife, beautifully colouring the sky.
