3rd day of birthday celebration. we had a party together with a friend, alex, who lives in scharbeutz, at the baltic sea. dear friends, lots of talks & fun, yummy treats. in her garden i picked red, black and white currants … & plenty of wild edibles (found something new: borage … so delicious, i could not stop eating it! later that day someone told me borage is known to be good to calm & strengthen when feeling stressed. maybe this is why i like it so much?!? anyway, my body seems to need it. ).
alex' fantastic strawberry tart
my humble contribution for the buffet
although it was a bit chilly & windy we went to the beach … to cold for most of us to take a bath (not for all of us: m. actually had fun in the water!) we enjoyed being creative & playing in the sand 🙂
… second day of celebration 🙂
yesterday – my birthday – i simply enjoyed life: every minute of the day, the congratulations, letters, emails, sms, calls, presents … so many wonderful things happened.
today we were celebrating with some of my family. my mom brought beautiful roses to me:
nice afternoon, but somehow … strange. hm. maybe i’ll write about this later…
wanna see what we had to eat?
strawberry tartlets with whipped cream
coming back to hamburg the city is greeting us with wonderful weather. springlike temperature, sunny & warm. i found stinging nettles, dandelion, goutweed and leafs of the lime tree in our and our neighbours’ garden & next to our house! & what a beautiful sight out of our kitchen window: the cherry tree is blowing 🙂
today we were visiting a friend to celebrate her birthday. she made a marvellous chocolate-cream-cake:
it doesn’t look raw at all, does it? i guess even non-raw-foodists would like it …
have a look at the whole fancy cake, and the other tarts:
… to all of you out there … may all your wishes become true! follow your heart, whereever it leads you!
i am still feeling the joy of a wonderful evening – celebrating new year’s eve with some dear friends & my daughter. this has been the first new year for 13 years without my son … he decided to celebrate with his father. i was missing him … and two very dear friends who could not be with us … anyhow we have had lots of fun, playing, dancing, talking, eating …
a few impressions of our xmas days …
our kitchen is our family room, the center of our house
nativity scene ... filled with life now
our christmas fancy cake
although i really don’t like the annual hype about xmas, i absolutely love making the advent calendars for my kids. this year i have even managed to come up with them in time. want to see this year’s version?
advent calendar for my son
advent calendar for my daughter
furthermore i do enjoy decorating our house. i began to do this today, 1st advent … so i don’t have to show much, but there are 24 days left to go on crafting & decorating 🙂
we are going to fill the nativity scene day by day.
advent time snacks
i have to show you this wonderful, delicious fancy cake my dear friend pavlina made:
strawberry & cream 🙂
all raw of course - lots of cashews & coconut fresh from thailand
a day full of dear friends, comforting talks, yummy raw cake, fruit & dandelion, dancing salsa … what a wonderful world!
two days ago we were celebrating my son’s birthday. this is his birthday-cake … i wanted to give him a cake he would like (as a matter of course) but we all could eat …
yes – it is raw. and yes – he tried it and liked it! happy me 🙂
we had a great day together – building his new lego star destroyer, playing carrera race (we haven’t done this for years, but it was really fun!)
another party … the way our kitchen looks like these days. i have found cherimoyas and kakis at the central market & lots of greens in the nature reserve. we have got a wonderful package from orkos. & i prepared some tasty dishes for the birthday party … so we have bowls & plates full of fruit everywhere & a brimful fridge:
