regarding dinner, i like the christmas eve tradition of my childhood: we always had a quite simple meal. something like potato salad & sausages. of course i would not eat these any more but i don’t like to spend this evening on creating a complex meal. so we had a salad of red cabbage & oranges, raw burgers, rice for those not eating raw & an abundance of greens & vegetables with a sesame-dip.

in spite of not feeling christmasy at all a few days ago i really have enjoyed these days. & still do. calm, relaxed days. feeling cozy. grateful. time seems to stand still for a while. midwinter. i enjoy being with my kids, playing games, talking, snuggling. spending time with friends. thanks for these wonder-ful days!

although i really don’t like the annual hype about xmas, i absolutely love making the advent calendars for my kids. this year i have even managed to come up with them in time. want to see this year’s version?

furthermore i do enjoy decorating our house. i began to do this today, 1st advent … so i don’t have to show much, but there are 24 days left to go on crafting & decorating

we are going to fill the nativity scene day by day.
