i was aware of what i had been missing during the last 6 or 7 months – sun! but now i actually realize HOW strongly i crave it. it’s totally impossible for me these days to stay indoor, sit in the office or anything like this. i spend as much time outdoor as possible – enjoying the sun, the warmth, the lightness, the greens. working in the garden, going for walks, cycling, playing, having all our meals as picnic, reading, and, last not least, just lying in the sun, re-energizing. this is how life is meant to be! so grateful to be alive!

not only that spring has formally begun yesterday … it really is here! smells like spring. birds are singing & building their nests. it is getting warmer. i love it! feels so good. i feel my energy rising every day. don’t wanna stay indoor – sun sun sun

today we had a wonderful day with friends at the baltic sea. there was a derby at the beach in scharbeutz where we watched a horse racing. kids were happy to see & pet lots of horses & dogs. afterwards we spent the afternoon at another beach, in neustadt. fewer people there & much more quiet. enjoying the sun & the fresh wind, playing, laughing, climbing rocks, getting wet while harvesting seaweed in the upcoming tide, searching the beach for the kids’ lost shoes & jackets. i love life!

missing discipline … today i somehow cannot get my head down on my work. daydreaming. my thoughts are focussing completely on my yearning for sun, warmth, travelling. so when my daughter suggested to “paint a sun for yourself” i instantly picked my colors & paper … look what we came up with:

something great to share in my museum. this is how i want to live. following our spontaneous ideas without practical constraints forcing me to do something else. our next project will be painting a sun on our kitchen’s ceiling

at about 11° celcius and rain … wanna know why?

the tide was high & even with my jeans turned up all my clothes got wet from the waves & the rain … but i really enjoyed the fresh air at the sea! feels so good

furthermore, this day brought to us crates of plums & pears from dear gila & lots of wild greens.

aber warum hat das küken ohren? es hat ohren, weil es sich die so doll gewünscht hat. aber warum? warum hat das sich die so doll gewünscht? weils so gern fliegen möchte. es kann mit seinen ohren fliegen? aber nur so ab windstärke 4-5, und nur wenn der wind von nord-westen kommt. dann stellt sich das 2ohrküken hier so hin, und wartet auf den wind – der kommt von hinten, geht unter die ohren, es gibt auftrieb und dann kanns abheben wie ein flugzeug und fliegt um die ganze welt und kann sich von da oben alles ganz genau angucken. es war schon in der türkei, in der antarktis, in der lüneburger heide – es war sogar schonmal hinterm mond.

dem sind ohren gewachsen, einfach, weil es sich die so doll gewünscht hat? ja. wenn man sich etwas wirklich wünscht & ganz fest daran glaubt, dann passiert das auch.

today we had a good time at gut wulksfelde, enjoying the sun & eating strawberries & greens. we brought home strawberries, orache, comfrey, stinging nettles & mugwort.
